About the project
LNG Croatia LLC was established with the purpose of realization of the LNG terminal on the island of Krk, which is of strategic interest for the Republic of Croatia.
The LNG terminal on the island of Krk will ensure energy needs and increase security of supply through the new natural gas supply route for the countries of Central and Southeastern Europe.

The terminal includes:
- A jetty with breasting dolphins for FSRU berthing, mooring dolphins for FSRU and LNG Carrier berthing, the topside, firefighting system and a 90 m long access bridge;
- A Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) with a total LNG storage capacity of 140,206 m3 and with a maximum regasification rate of 451,840 m3/h;
- A 40” and 4,2 km long natural gas pipeline connected to Croatia gas transmission system.
KN role in the project
KN assisted LNG Croatia LLC in the development of Terminal activities throughout the period of years 2016-2018 on the following scope:
- FSRU procurement;
- Environmental Impact Assessment;
- Jetty and pipeline Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) ;
- Financial support from EU ;
- Commercial arrangements in regards to the Terminal User Agreement and Rules of Operations;
- Regulatory framework review.
