Mr. Edvinas Katilius is elected Chairman of the KN Board

Edvinas Katilius has been elected Chairman of the Board of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil terminals operator KN (AB „Klaipėdos nafta“). This decision was taken by the members of the Board of KN, who gathered for the first Board meeting of this term of office.
E. Katilius has been with Philip Morris since 1999, where he has held various management positions during his long career and has been responsible for business development, strategic change management, sales strategy in different regions of the company - the Baltics, Poland, Russia, Switzerland. Since 2017, he has been Vice President of PMI Global Duty Free.
"As far as current issues are concerned, the company's priority remains unchanged - KN will continue to contribute to Lithuania's energy independence through its activities. Also, it is important for the company to ensure stable profitability in the near future," says E. Katilius, Chairman of the Board of KN. - Looking to the long term perspective, our top priority is a new strategy for KN, ensuring sustainable long-term growth. In the context of the global changes in the energy sector, KN will have to transform its operations and find its place in the changing value chain, as the world and Europe pursue climate neutrality goals. I look forward to KN being one of the leaders in this field and making a significant contribution to Lithuania's climate change commitments."
On 25 April, the four-year term of office of the Board began and the Board is joined by three independent members - Jūratė Lingienė, Guy Mason and Alfonso Morriello - and Karolis Švaikauskas, a member of the Board delegated by the Ministry of Energy.
According to the Articles of Association of the Company, the Board of the KN is composed of 5 members, including the Chairman of the Board, of which at least 3 must be independent. The members of the Board are elected by the Supervisory Council for 4 years.
